Advocate: A person who shares a referral code encouraging new customers to purchase a Liberty Trike.
Friend: An individual who receives a referral code from an Advocate and makes a qualifying purchase.
Eligibility:
- All customers with a Liberty Trike account are eligible to participate in the referral program, regardless of whether they currently own a Liberty Trike. As long as they have an account, they will have a referral promo code displayed on their account page.
- The program begins on September 16, 2024, and referrals made before this date are not eligible for rewards.
- The program is open to contiguous U.S. and Canadian residents only.
- If a participant earns $600 or more in rewards in a fiscal year, they will be required to submit a 1099 tax form (U.S. residents) or comply with local tax regulations (Canadian residents). Any customs or duties fees are the responsibility of the customer if located in Canada. Shipping costs for Canada delivery will also be the responsibility of the advocate.
Rewards:
- Between September 16, 2024, and December 31, 2024, Advocates who successfully refer two new Friends will receive one free Liberty Trike battery as a reward.
- Beginning January 1, 2025, Advocates will need to refer eight new Friends to qualify for a free battery.
- If an Advocate makes one referral in 2024, this referral will carry over into 2025 and count toward the total of eight required to earn a free battery.
- Advocates will receive one credit for every Liberty Trike or Like-New Liberty Trike purchased in a Friend's order. This means that if a Friend places an order with multiple trikes, the Advocate will receive multiple credits.
- Once an Advocate reaches the referral limit that qualifies them for a free battery, Liberty Trike will contact them via email to arrange the shipment.

- Referrals must meet the following criteria: the new customer must enter the Advocate’s promo code when placing their order, and they must purchase at least one product designated for the referral program by Liberty Trike.
- Posting referral codes publicly on any social media platform, including the Official Liberty Trike Owners Group, or in any other group or platform where the code may be widely disseminated, is strictly prohibited. Advocates may share codes with friends, family, or in person, and they are encouraged to write referral codes on business cards for distribution. - Liberty Trike reserves the right to disqualify participants from the program if fraudulent activity, abuse, or misuse of the referral program is detected.

Maximizing Comfort on Your Liberty Trike: How to Adjust the Handlebars
To begin with, adjust your handlebar's height. To do this, start by undoing the handlebar clamp. This action allows for vertical movement of the handlebars. However, it's important to leave at least two inches in the frame for safety and stability. Ideally, extend the handlebar to about a hands length, this ensures a stable ride.
Once you've determined the perfect height, secure the position by tightening the locking clamp. If the clamp feels too loose, turn the adjustment knob clockwise until you feel a reasonable level of resistance.
After the height adjustment, you can modify the handlebars' horizontal position - moving them forward or backward. For this task, you'll need a wrench and a six millimeter Allen key. Begin by placing the Allen key in the top bolt, the wrench on the bottom, and then turn counterclockwise to loosen.
With the bolts loosened, adjust the handlebars to a position where you can comfortably reach the brake and throttle without locking out your arms completely. You should be able to maintain a comfortable bend in your arms while riding.
Once you've found the desired position, tighten the bolts back down in a clockwise direction using the Allen key and wrench. Don't forget to swivel your LCD back into its proper place to monitor your trike's statistics clearly.
In conclusion, taking time to adjust your Liberty Trike's handlebars properly can dramatically improve your overall riding experience. So, don't hesitate to make these simple adjustments for a more comfortable and enjoyable ride.
Remember, the key to a successful adjustment is to aim for a position that provides both stability and comfort. Happy riding!

Liberty Trike - How to Pack a Liberty Trike for Shipping
In this post, we'll take you through the step-by-step process. We even have a video to help visualize the process.
Here's a brief checklist of the steps we'll be covering:
Now, let's unpack these steps and discuss each one in detail:
The first thing to do is to ensure that the battery is secured in its place within the trike. You'll want to lock it in place and make sure the tumbler is there. Don't worry about whether the battery is on or off; nothing will happen to it during the shipping. The primary aim is to keep it secure.
To start packing the trike, you'll need to position the shipping box on its side. The trike's back end goes in first, with the two rear wheels fitting into the long punch-outs in the box. This might be the hardest part of the packing process, especially if you're doing it alone. Once the largest part of the trike is in the box, it's time to adjust the pedals so they fit inside the box as well. The aim is to make sure this part is open because that's where the front wheel goes.
The front wheel is added next with the fender facing up. It is then followed by the handlebar. It would be best if you put something in between the handlebar and the front wheel to prevent any damage during the transport.
The seat is the next item to go in. It's a good idea to put a noodle or some protective packaging on the seat post to prevent it from banging around during shipping. Once the seat is in, you can throw in any additional packing material you have. The goal is to minimize bouncing around as much as possible.
The bike stand and charger are next. They're placed behind the rear wheel with the charger going on top of the stand. Lastly, the basket goes on top of everything else in the box.
Once everything is securely packed, close the box and seal it up with some strong packing tape. The next step is arranging a pick-up with UPS for a return, which is made easy thanks to our white glove service.
Remember, at Liberty Trike, our goal is to ensure that you have a positive experience, from the time you receive your trike to the unlikely event that you decide to return it. We hope you find this guide useful.

Understanding Why the Liberty Trike Doesn't Have Pedal Assist
You may be wondering, why would we choose to exclude a seemingly beneficial feature? Does it make the Liberty Trike less effective? Is it because the technology is too expensive or too difficult to install? The answer to all these questions is a resounding no. In fact, the choice to exclude pedal assist from our Liberty Trike models is entirely intentional and driven by the desire to provide the safest and most comfortable ride for our users, primarily seniors.
For over fifteen years, we've been in the electric bike and trike business, continually innovating and tailoring our products to suit our customers' needs. We've worked with a multitude of models, many of which do include a pedal assist feature. We could easily install a pedal assist system on any electric bike or trike, but when it comes to the Liberty Trike, we've made a different choice.
Let's dive into the technical aspects a bit. Pedal assist systems often involve what's called a Cadence Sensor. This sensor, which includes a disc with magnets, is attached to the crank of the bike or trike. As you pedal, the sensor tracks the rotation speed of the magnets, essentially measuring your cadence or pedaling rate.
So, how does it assist you while cycling? The sensor is programmed in such a way that every few clicks or rotations will trigger an automatic propulsion boost to your ride. Sounds pretty great, right?
Well, not always. The primary issue with pedal assist lies in the word "automatic". While this feature can make cycling more effortless, particularly uphill or over longer distances, it can also lead to unexpected surges in speed. This automatic, and sometimes sudden, propulsion can prove problematic, especially for our primary demographic - senior riders.
Safety is paramount when designing our Liberty Trikes. For senior riders, maintaining control and stability is essential. Unexpected surges can be disconcerting, leading to potential safety issues, or at the very least, an uncomfortable ride. We want to eliminate any risk of such occurrences, ensuring that each ride on a Liberty Trike is smooth, safe, and enjoyable.
It's important to clarify that pedal assist isn't inherently a bad feature. For younger riders or those seeking a boost in their cycling experience, it can indeed be a beneficial addition. However, for the Liberty Trike and its riders, we believe the potential risks associated with pedal assist outweigh the benefits.
At the end of the day, our mission is to provide a trike that is not only reliable and durable but also safe and easy to use for our riders. We've put much thought and consideration into each feature we include (or exclude), always with the best interest of our users in mind. That's why we stand by our decision not to incorporate pedal assist into our Liberty Trike design.
So, if you've ever wondered about the absence of pedal assist in your Liberty Trike, we hope this explanation clears up any queries. As always, we're dedicated to ensuring the best riding experience for you, and we're here to help with any questions or concerns you might have. Feel free to get in touch with us anytime.
In the meantime, happy riding on your Liberty Trike!
