Winston Churchill said it best: "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we GIVE."
Giving back, especially to kids that can benefit so much from our product, is a feeling we'll never be able to describe. Many of these children have experienced little-to-no biking in their lives due to physical challenges. and it's amazing that a Liberty Trike is able to make that change.
Most recently, we worked with Camp Twin Lakes, a wonderful organization that offers powering transformative camps for children with serious illnesses, disabilities, and other life challenges. They provide year-round, fully-adaptive, and deeply impactful camp experiences to nearly 10,000 of Georgia’s children and young adults each year, helping each camper grow in their confidence and experience the joys of childhood.
This all came into fruition in the coolest way, too. A very happy LT rider from our FB Group - Ann-Marie Walsh - whom also happened to be a volunteer at the camp, reached out to let us know that the camp was holding a Spin for Kids annual fundraiser. And it just so happened that the 2021 fundraiser was looking to raise money to purchase etrikes! When we received Ann-Marie's email, we didn't think twice. We immediately reached out to Ashley Hendersen, the Volunteer Coordinator, and the rest is history...
Ashley was amazing and the pure excitement they showed upon receiving their trikes was so genuine and appreciative.
Several emails and a shipping confirmation later, the camp finally got their trikes the weekend of May 13th. That Monday, May 16th, we received an email from Ashley and it went something like this:
Good afternoon, Jason and Nichole!
HOLY COW what a weekend we had at Camp Twin Lakes! We were able to let campers ride the two Liberty Trikes for the first time! Our camp partner was Camp Wheel-A-Way, supported by the Kyle Pease Foundation, and served kids with Cerebral Palsy. This was their first time ever riding an e-bike and they LOVED IT!
Jason—I can’t thank you enough for your generosity. What a gift for these kids and families!
We can’t wait to show them off at Spin For Kids too!
With gratitude,
Ashley
This note truly pumped us up for the week! We are all happy to know the Twin Lakes LT's will be bringing some smiles; hopefully for years to come. Thank you Ashely and Camp Twin Lakes!
Preston's March, Cure SMA andCamp Twin Lakes are some of the wonderful organizations we have had the privilege of working with.
